Short video captures condition much better than words. Please watch prior to purchase to ensure a clear understanding of the book.
Three (3) issues of Pathfinder Railway Guide for the New England States.
1853, Boston, Geo. K. Snow. April- May & June issues. Bound together long ago in small pocket-sized 1/4 leather binding, marbled paper covered boards.
Each issue with folding frontis map, two-sided, one a city plan, the other a map of railroad lines across New England. Each map has advertising printed on one side.
Delightful almost miniature format. Packed with endless details about train arrival and departure times, routes, rules, etc. Profusion of great period advertising, including many tiny woodcuts.
Joints cracked, contents clean. First two maps split into sections, final map still mostly intact with short split down central fold line.
Each issue is scarce in any condition, together like this unique.
Book measures: 4 1/4" H X 3" W.
