320 pages. French language imprint supposedly printed in Netherlands.
Period full mottled calf, smooth spine nicely gilt stamped with fleur-de-lys devices surrounded by scrolled ruled borders with small dots. Marbled end papers, title page in red & black ink, fine typographical work throughout with many small woodcut tail pieces.
A small collection of literature and essays by Jean de La Chapelle and Louis Petit de Bachaumont, two authors who wrote at the height of the Ancien Regime.
Leather remains supple, front joint cracked but holding firmly, binding sound, clean, tight and quite attractive as an object.
