Period 1/2 leather binding, raised bands, gilt compartment decorations, gilt title lettering, marbled covers and end papers, deckled edges.
Front joint scuffed, small short crack at top of rear joint, but binding remains clean, tight, and sound, covers strongly attached as issued. Interior contents display a uniform age patina, largely free of age spotting. A handsome survival.
Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
