Nice pair of mid-19th century embossed publisher bindings. Both are Friendship's Offering, in the same stamped binding, but for two different years from different publishers with variant content.
Both volumes in matching period full leather binding, ornate raised relief floral decorations on spine and covers. Title in gilt, all edges gilt.
Both bindings worn, joints scuffed or cracked, small age flaws to leather. However, both volumes remain sound, still sturdy bindings, contents mostly clean. The 1852 Annual is lacking two engraved plates but is still a nice looking book.
