Profusely illustrated Bible, including many full page steel engraved prints with tissue guards, color lithographed plates, chromolithographed plates, wood engravings (many full page), decorations. all edges gilt.
Binding lightly rubbed, joints scuffed, few leaves slightly protruding or loose, overall still sound, tight example. Covers remain well attached, binding still in tact and nicer than expected given how heavy the covers are in relation to the joint leather.
A monumental nineteenth century family bible in full leather. Deeply embossed covers richly gilt decorated with pictorial scenes from bible history, including Temple of Solomono, Last Supper of Christ, etc.
