Period full acid-etched calf leather binding, smooth spine double gilt ruled into compartments with contrasting red morocco title label.Internally sound, couple signatures slightly "sprung" from usage, moderate scattered toning and small age spotting.
Half title with publishers Nov. 1817 advertisement leaf bound prior to frontis. Collated complete as issued. Bound in at rear is "Four Appendices of the State of Law, Finance, Medicine and Political Opinion in France by Sir. T. Charles Morgan, M.D.".
Book displays fine age patina, still well preserved example. Leather remains supple, covers are attractive, four original aquatint engravings still present in an unsophisticated period binding.
Book measures: 8 5/8" H X 5 1/2" W.
