Rare mid-18th century French geographical work, beautifully bound in mottled calf bindings.

Full calf, smooth spines richly gilt decorated with floral devices and contrasting leather labels, covers mottled and outline ruled in gilt, turn-ins gilt patterned, marbled end papers, all edges gilt. Fine typography, nice paper, well printed, excellent small two volume set.
Very well preserved. Gilt bright, leather supple, contents tight, clean and sound, superb age patina.
Unique and rare thus.
Books measure: 6 1/4" H X 3 3/4" W.
