With a very early female owners inscription from Betsy Egleston in May 1794 to Mary Philips of Lenox, Mass. (this leaf is brittle paper and has numerous small neat archival tape repairs on the reverse to strengthen the edges).

Period full leather binding, front cover replaced and detached, rear cover detached, lacks original blank end papers (replaced with old paper). 

Text block is uniformly well age toned, but remains clean and still stitch sewn as issued.

Interior contents display a pleasing age patina, with scattered spotting throughout. Any age flaws are easy to overlook or forgive.

Book measures: 6 1/4" H X 3 3/4" W.
