Period 1/2 red leather binding, raised and gilt bands, compartments gilt decorated in animal and country motifs, title gilt lettered, marbled end papers and edges.
Binding remains tight and sound. Interior largely clear of any major spotting or foxing. Book retains a handsome shelf appearance. Lower corner of rear cover well bumped.
Any age flaws are easy to overlook or forgive, nice looking book, well preserved.
