First medical satire by a doctor that was published in America.
19th century 1/2 leather binding, raised bands, embossed ruled compartments, gilt title lettering, marbled covers and end papers. Scuffing on joints, but binding remains clean, tight, and sound.
Early owner's ex-libris plate on interior leaf. Former hand written library call number on spine base (please see photos).
Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
