1/4 leather binding, smooth spine, gilt bands, lettered paper covered boards. Front joint cracked and slightly weakened, but binding remains clean, tight, and sound, covers firmly attached. Scattered age spotting throughout, 1850 owners inscription to fly leaf.
Book remains well preserved and very attractive on the shelf. It displays a beautiful age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
