Very uncommon early 19th century engraved French map with original outline hand color.
New Holland is only name given for the continent of Australia aside from use of the regional term Australasia. Dozens of islands named across the Pacific, China and Southeast Asia- Chochinchina shown in outline coastal form at top left. Only coastal Land names are used, including Nuyt, Witt, Flinders, Baudin, Leuwin, Arnheim & Carpentaire.
