World Double Hemisphere 1794 Amos Doolittle rare miniature mapBrian DiMambro- Antiquarian
Issued Boston, 1794 [1796 re-issue; see Wheat & Brun], Thomas & Andrews for Jed. Morse. Engraved by Amos Doolittle, New Haven, Conn.
Scarce 18th century American produced antique copper engraved miniature map.
Paper is well age-toned, as often seen. But to our eyes and for most people, remains an entirely acceptable and nice looking example of this uncommon antique 18th century American-made map by one of the most significant early American engravers.
Sheet measures c. 4"H x 6 5/8"W.
Printed area measures c. 3 1/4"H x 5 1/2"W.
