A Map of the Province of Carolina Divided into its Parishes &c. According to the Latest Accounts, 1730.
Inset of: A Map of yr Most Improved Part of Carolina

(Colonial seaboard Atlantic southern U.S.- Virginia to Georgia).

Issued c.1730, by H. Moll.  Much scarcer than his Carolina map (in five states) of the same era which appeared in several editions of his Atlas Minor, this map only appearing within an historical book.

Large inset lower right of the "Most Improved Part of Carolina". Various early engraved notations about settlements, Indians, paths, Limit of King Charles 1663 grant named, etc.

Excellent and quite scarce early 18th century engraved map. Several of the islands named appear for the first time thus with printed names.

Various old paper repairs (somewhat inexpertly but acceptably done) on reverse which now render the map visually very presentable. Video captures condition far better than words- please watch to be clear of the various repairs and condition. Less than perfect and priced accordingly. Still a fine and rare historical map.

Sheet measures c. 14 1/4" x 15 1/2".

Printed area measures c. 14" x 15".
