(United Kingdom- British Isles)
Issued 1712-1728, London by John Senex.
Rare monumental early 18th century map, with original outline hand color.
Composed of two sheet joined as issued.
In fair typical condition for large wall maps of this era (sometimes separately issued- see Law), various age flaws such as small edge chipping into the side neat lines or graticule numbers, fold-lines backed long ago, scattered small spotting, etc. Short video captures map condition better than words.
Despite the age flaws seen and mentioned, map remains attractive, relatively well preserved for the type, displays well and is entirely worthy of prominent display.
Sheet measures c. 38 1/4" x 26 1/2".
Printed area measures c. 38 1/4" x 26 1/2".
Law, Printed Maps of Ireland, 1612-1850, 55 (ii)- noting the two versions using the same plate but with minor amendments to the imprint.
