Scarce early 19th century American produced engraved map. Based on the 1784 Filson map as well as the J. Russell 1794 map.
Of note and interest for the variety of early land claims depicted. These include the New Jersey Company, Ohio Company, Lands Reserved for North Carolina Troops, Donation Lands, General Clarks Grant of 150,000 acres, Colonel Simmes, etc. North West Territory above the Ohio River, South Western Territory named directly above Tennessee Government.
Map displays light to moderate age spotting but still retains a pleasing overall appearance and age patina.
