Beautiful early 18th century antique map, engraved with old hand color. Monumental scale, near wall map size.
Extensive details, showing post roads, listing market days for hundreds of towns, villages and cities, their co-ordinates, etc.
Excellent decorative visual appeal. Various old paper repairs on reverse along fold lines and portions of edge, some toning along fold lines, but despite any flaws or repairs, a map which presents very well and is worthy of display in any setting.
Sheet measures c. 24 3/8" x 39 1/2".
Printed area measures c. 23 1/2" x 38".
