Scarce late 18th century antique engraved map of the Southern Hemipshere. Shows in great detail the tracks of Capt. Cook as well as several other early explorers around the costs of Australia, New Zealand and other locations.
Four cusps contain detailed lists of dozens of locations with their co-ordinates .
Entirely newly engraved version for this Dutch printing.
Paper uniformly age toned with soft diffuse light spotting, original fold lines, minor 1" closed tear at left inset tab, overall remaining clean and fresh as issued - still a nice example, without any major or distracting faults or flaws.
Sheet measures c. 22 5/8" H x 21 1/2" W.
Printed area measures c. 21" H x 20 1/2" W.
