(Vlissingen, Netherlands- Holland- Low Countries- Birds-eye prospect views)

Issued c.1612-48, Amsterdam by Rombout van den Hoeye.

Beautiful early 17th century antique city view.  Wonderful prospect view of the city behind the original fortified walls. Numerous galleons and tall mast ships ply the harbor. Descriptive text in three languages (Latin, Dutch, French) below view, key lower right identifies 20 key buildings or distant cities within the view.

Decorative coats of arms in top corners either side of fluttering title banner.

Various old paper repairs on reverse, fold-lines backed with small spots of loss, blank margins trimmed right to image. Rare in any condition, unique example thus with extra early city plan. Video captures condition much better than words.
