Profusely illustrated with in-text drawings throughout, eight color maps and 91 [often photogravure] inserted full page plates, most with tissue guards.
Bindings show signs of handling and age, couple spine ends slightly chipped (see pic & video), some darkening to a couple spine base compartments, small scuffs or scratches to cloth, etc.
Overall still enormously appealing on the shelf, contents sound, tight, clean and complete.
A monumental work capturing the perspective of historians on all aspects of American history, life and culture during this era.
