Depicts the famous Battle of Lepanto in the Gulf of Corinth, Greece where the Ottoman Empire suffered a lasting defeat in cultural advance against the Holy League of Nations in Europe. An active scene with the coastline visible across the top, countless ships and details. Italian text below and on reverse as always for any example of this early printed naval/ military image.
Nice looking example, pleasing age patina, any minor age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
