In a wonderful period full leather binding, raised bands, extensive gilt decoration on spine, pictorially gilt decorated front and rear covers which displays a bold hemisphere and compass rose design. All edges gilt, profusely illustrated throughout with over 200 small maps and line illustrations, including many fine prospect views.
