Scarce 19th century set of seven antiquarian leather bindings.
Period grained 3/4 morocco leather bindings, raised bands, gilt lettering and designs at spine bases, marbled boards & endpapers, top edges gilt. All remain tight, sound, leather is supple, pages clean. Scattered trivial pencil margin lines to mark significant content.
Spines uniformly sunned to chocolate brown color as often seen, some old darkening or staining to some but the overall appearance and patina of the set remains handsome and appealing.
Books measure: 8 3/4" H X 6" W.
Set along shelf measures: 13". Heavy set of old books.
