Period 1/2 red leather bindings, raised bands, spine gilt lettered, marbled covers. Some rubbing on covers and scuffing, short surface cracks on hinges, but bindings remain tight and sound.

A handsome six volume collection of one of the earliest systematic bibliographical compilations of British and Irish publications.

Containing a wealth of knowledge, this set remains wonderful not only for its lovely shelf appearance, but for its fascinating contents as well.

Still considered a standard and useful reference tool.
