North America United States Lake Trimpanogos doubtful unknown 1834 Walker mapBrian DiMambro- Antiquarian Books, Maps & Prints
(North America, Canada, United States, Mexico, New Spain, Caribbean, Cuba, Yucatan Peninsula, Alaska, British North America, Russian America).
Issued 1834, Boston by Samuel Walker.
Interesting 19th century engraved map, with lovely hand color.
Note the extension of Oregon Territory into modern day British Columbia in the northwest. Alaska is Russian possessions. The Great Salt Lake is still named Lake Trimpangos with "doubtful" after its name. A large "Western lake" below it is described as having unknown western limits.
Nice looking example, pleasing age patina, any minor age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
