Pensacola Harbor Florida 1854 Blunt nautical chart lovely hand colored mapBrian DiMambro- Antiquarian
Reduced from Survey of Maj. Kearney, U.S.T.E.
(Coastal chart United States - Florida).
Issued New York, 1854 by E. & G.W. Blunt. Engraved by Hatch.
Charming little mid-19th century miniature engraved coastal chart. There are several different version/ states of this map, this one identifying the revolving light house, the U.S. Navy Yard & hospital as well as Forts Barrancas and McCrea.
Countless sounding depths, various navigational features including shoals, light house, directions for sailing and inlets, etc.
Nice looking antique map, minor light surface age wear and toning as typical, but overall a nice example. Any age flaws are easy to forgive visually.
Original fold lines as issued.
