Delightful 16th century wood cut birds-eye city view from the famous monumental work Cosmography. Note the two angels holding city shields aloft in the top corners, the title with year 1576 fluttering within a banner in the sky between them. A farming landscape shown with numerous small individual houses, wooden bridges, early ramparts with spires and towers, etc.
