Scarce 18th century copper engraved antique map. Includes a "New Discover'd Sea" in Labrador. Greenland coastline top right, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia bottom center/ right, northern tip of Lake Superior with two large islands at lower left.
Light uniform paper age toning, original fold lines, small minor age spotting or offsetting, overall remaining clean - still a pleasing and well preserved visual example.
Sheet measures c. 9" x 11 3/8".
Printed area measures c. 6 7/8" x 8 7/8".
Includes the portion of the original periodical (3 leaves) that discusses the map.
