Mid-19th century cloth binding, gilt lettering and gilt American Indian pictorial device on spine, blind stamped floral design on covers. Text set within ruled boxes, light minor scattered foxing throughout.
This edition contains numerous notations, as well as an index compiled by the famous New Hampshire Antiquarian Samuel G. Drake.
Cloth chipped at spine ends and splitting along joints although covers remain firmly attached, Gilt spine still bright and attractive, text block sound and tight.
Despite the age wear, still a pleasing book.
