Decorative early 18th century folio sheet engraved Dutch issued map. Scarce version.
Splendid finely detailed city plan surrounded by twelve inset vignettes, including a long facade elevation of the ancient Temple of Solomon, across the top center, portraits of King Solomon and the High Priest of Jerusalem, ornamental objects, a Temple birds-eye view, etc. Keys held by cherubs identify 60 specific buildings and locations across the city.
Light old damp staining as seen, original fold line, still a dark impression and pleasing visual example of this decorative map.
