Splendid full red morocco leather, compartments on spine intricately decorated in gilt, raised bands. Front and back covers richly gilt ornamented with the arms of the Duke of Bordeaux, decorated edges and turn-ins, silk moire end papers, all pages gilt.
Lovely early 19th century Latin grammar with a stamp indicating the book was once in the fine personal library of the Duke of Bordeaux (Henri V, grandson of King Charles X and pretender to the French throne).
Well preserved example, light minor scuffing or soiling, beautiful well preserved book with lovely age patina.
