Maxfield Parrish early magazine covers lot x 9 original Edison Mazda SwiftBrian DiMambro- Antique & Vintage Maps, Prints, Books & Gold Coins
Maxfield Parrish Magazine art of early 20th century.
Issued 1896-1930's. Commercial periodical covers- illustrated by Maxfield Parish.
Wonderful lot of nine (9) different early Maxfield Parrish color printed images, mostly covers of magazines of the early part of the 20th century. Individually scarce, unique as a lot. Edison- Mazda lamp seller on cardboard as issued, sleeping dream image issued by Hamden Paper, Holyoke Mass [on heavy Artist's Sunburst three-ply cover paper].
Most trimmed close to image as seen- video captures items better than words. Offered as acquired and as they survive.
Minor light toning and as typical for printed images of this vintage, perhaps small minor paper flaws, couple with old creases down middle, etc. but to our eyes and for most people, all entirely acceptable and nice looking examples.
Largest measures c. 16" x 11 1/4".
Smallest measures c. 9 3/4" x 7 5/8".
