Charming little early 18th century antique engraved map with original outline hand color.
Nice decorative visual appeal. Two dragon heads hold the title banner within their mouths. The interior is described as entirely unknown, the ancient apocryphal mountain range Mts. of the Moon are shown along the equator. Various dated annotations seen across the map. Includes all of Arabian peninsula, with city symbols for Mecca and Medina, the Burial Tomb of Mohammed.
Map displays light old dampstaining along right edge, but otherwise displays a fine age patina.
Sheet measures c. 8"H x 10"W.
Printed area measures c. 6 1/2"H x 9"W.
