Fine antique engraved German map with original outline hand color.
Inset at top right shows the distribution of vegetation by zone on the island of Teneriff. A vast fictitious "Mountains of the Moon" range is shown in central Africa.
A detailed, scarce and interesting mid-19th century German map which could readily be collected on it's own merits, displayed or given as a present.
In Good+ to near VG antiquarian condition, mostly clean overall, light minor age dustiness or small scattered age spotting as seen, overall the map remains attractive.
