Beautifully engraved original mid-19th century print. Well printed with a finely nuanced visual quality quite unique to this relatively brief moment in early 19th century steel plate printing.
Issued on nice quality heavier paper which shows typical gentle signs of age, some minor light spotting or foxing as visible in scan, but which still retains its soundness.
A fine old print relating to Pompeii, Italy, which is a pleasure to examine in detail.
An appealing antique image which could readily be collected on its own merits, displayed or given as a present.
In near very Good to Average or better antiquarian condition, mostly clean overall, light age dustiness or light surface wear, and some light to moderate scattered foxing, overall the image is attractive --
