Charming little early 18th century engraved city plan.
Near miniature format decorative small map. Beautiful vignette cartouche top right with city coat of arms below a king on his throne (referring to Maximillian van Oostenrijk rule. Title within a banner fluttering across the bottom around a medallion atop a distance scale pediment monument. Signed in the plate by the engraver lower right.
Paper and image remains clean and well preserved with a fine patina and visual appeal.

D'Ailly, Catalogus van Amsterdamsche Plattegronden , 248. (noting D'Ailly observed it was based on the plan Harrewijn made c.1697-1700: Hameleers, 97). Apparently only this single edition, which was simply re-issued unaltered in subsequent years.
