(Spain)

Issued London, c. 1730-40 by Nicolas Tindal

Fine original antique folio engraved battle map, made approximately 280 years ago.

With military details such as precise topography, troop locations, leaders names & movements. With a fine large decorative cartouche which contains the key.

In Good+ or better condition, minor age wrinkling to sheet, some light scattered spotting and uniform toning, faint evidence of old horizontal crease across map as well as some other extraneous fold-lines which in no way detracts visually (since they are virtually invisible when viewing the map) [note: we grade very conservatively and always seek to disclose any noteworthy flaws].

The printed area remains visually pleasing, a nice impression of an interesting and decorative map.

Sheet measures c. 20 1/2" W x 16 1/2" H.

Printed area measures c. 18 3/4" W x 15" H.

Folio. Original fold line as issued.
