(Early 20th Century American Culture, WWI- War)
Issued September 29, 1917, New York, by Munn & Co. for Scientific American
Wonderful original vintage color magazine cover.
In Good+ [or better] condition: Sheet displays light uniform age toning as typical, minor scattered spotting or foxing, some minor edge wear, and could have small edge splits which have been carefully and almost invisibly repaired on verso, small old institutional rubber stamp; overall the wonderful artistic image remains clean and very attractive- absolutely appropriate for framing, display, gift-giving, etc. Any visual defects may hopefully be clearly seen in the images.
Text on verso as issued-This is an original printed sheet from this scarce 20th century American periodical. Thus, it has Advertising/ printing on the back, which is the only way this image can be acquired other than perhaps as a modern reprint.
Please examine the scan closely as it forms the central part of the description. There is a zoom feature so you can see close up. [note: we grade very conservatively and always seek to disclose any noteworthy flaws ].
The printed area remains visually pleasing, a nice impression of an interesting cultural image.
A scarce and appealing early 20th century color image/ print any collector, dealer, or institution would be happy to possess. Perfect for display purposes.
Sheet measures approx. 15 " H x 10 5/8" W
*(please do not buy a frame before the print arrives- the dimensions are near to about 1/4")
