Fine small collection of twelve mid-19th century poetry and fiction books. All bound in early decorative publishers cloth, spines gilt lettered with pictorial decorations to several. All bindings decorative embossed or stamped in blind. Note the similar but variant gilt pictorial poetical books with Byron vs. Montgomery.
Large 2 vol Cyclopedia of English Literature with steel engraved frontis to each plus many woodcut illustrations throughout the text. Johnson 2 vol set from 1840 with two steel engraved frontis plates. Both large poetry volumes with many steel engraved portraits in each. Many contain early owners names with 19th century dates.
Nice assortment of interesting antique books for display purposes, to give away individually as inexpensive presents, etc. Priced at $35/ book.

In Good to near VG, completely acceptable condition. Bindings rubbed or variously age worn but all still mostly clean and attractive- all remain physically sound and well bound as issued; spine ends with small or minor chipping, some joint cloth splits, signs of usage, other mostly minor age flaws. Condition of each book is visible within the video.
Overall the books remain good looking, clean, tight and sound.
Tallest volume measures c. 10 1/4", shortest is 7 3/8".
Set along shelf is c. 20 1/2 " long
