Numerous letter above key spires are identified by a key below the view. On the reverse is a similar large view of the walled city of Wolffenbuttel under military attack from cannon fire in the foreground.

Fine 16th century wood cut print from the famous monumental work Cosmography. Provides a fascinating glimpse into Europe during the Early Modern period.

Nice looking example, pleasing age patina, any minor age flaws easy to overlook or forgive. Text as always on reverse and around the printed image.
