2 volumes, each c. 125 pages. Complete with 119 steel engraved views. Text in English.
Period 1/2 leather bindings, gilt title and designs on spines, marbled covers and end papers. All edges gilt.
Bindings remain tight and sound. Covers rubbed, joints scuffed, leather remains supple, gilt bright, handsome shelf appearance, covers firmly and well attached.
Interior mostly clean, most mages remain clean and bright, some relatively minor scattered age spotting found throughout, foxing heaviest to the half-titles or confined to a handful of views or blank margins.
A nice shelf appearance, and many wonderful images throughout.
The age flaws are easy to overlook or forgive. Nice looking antiquarian set of plate books.
