Significant and uncommon monumental mid-20th century wall map. Linen backed as issued, five feet wide, over three feet tall, mounted to original turned and painted wooden rollers.

Arctic Islands north of Latitude 75' inset top right. Lake Michigan with Chicago at bottom center.

A pleasing and well preserved visual example. Two huge color lithographed sheets joined  by publisher as issued, light surface scuffing near bottom from roller offset. Extensive detailed color coded key lower left for 30+ specific types of rocks.

Map measures c. 40" x 60".
