These images document the mid-19th century European re-discovery of the famous ancient Egyptian palace dedicated to the Celestial gods. Within it was found the earliest and literally only known complete rendering of the Night Sky, the constellations and zodiac signs. The famous bas relief ceiling sphere is on display in the Louvre museum, Paris.

Also along the walls were colored relief friezes depicting celestial and zodiac images, found here printed for the first time in large rare lithographed prints with original hand color.
