Early and rare small pocket sized guidebook, housed within an old custom marbled paper open slip case box. With 1833 and 1834 owners names, dates, annotations and price paid for the book written on blanks at front and rear.
Well worn example, still sound & tight as issued in the original marble paper covered boards and cloth spine. Ink stain at top gutter of title page affecting first edge of 36 pgs.
Rare in any condition. Early in depth description of Michigan Territory.
