(Europe, Netherlands, Nederland, the Hague, den Haag).
Issued 1761, Amsterdam by Pierre-Fouqel Jr. Del la Fargue. Engraved by Le Charpentier.
Fine mid-18th century antique engraved print with original hand color. Depicts the approach to the city of den Haag in the Netherlands.
An attractive and well-preserved example. Short video captures condition much better than words. Please watch prior to purchase to ensure a clear understanding of the print.
Almost folk-art in appearance. Men repairing a wagon wheel in the foreground, canal and houses at left of bridge in the middle.
Minor light toning and as typical for printed images of this vintage, perhaps small minor paper flaws, but to our eyes and for most people, an entirely acceptable and nice looking example.
