Handsome and well preserved set in period 1/2 leather bindings.
Dark green crushed morocco leather, spine compartments gilt ruled in outline with central devices, raised bands, marbled paper covers and end papers, top edge gilt. Engraved pictorial extra title and half title.
Fine typography, quality paper, a well printed edition, many leaves still joined, unopened as issued.
Fresh and attractive, with great shelf appeal. Light minor rubbing, trivial scuff spots, fresh and nearly as issued internally. Fine age patina, a lovely antiquarian set.
