Early 20th century issue of this classic long-running Hudson river tourist guide book first issued in the late 19th century. There are many variant printings over a long 25+ year run, creating variant possibilities for advertising and content images. Booklet of numerous full page b&w images and text printed on heavy paper stock. Some creasing to cover & text leaves although mostly clean, tight and sound.
Map is well preserved- displays minor age flaws visible within the video, due to slight protrusion of folded map from text block, first fold line near top is browned and age-worn from gentle thumbing; nothing offensive anywhere, all age and paper flaws throughout easy to forgive or overlook.
Light uniform paper age toning, original fold lines, all remaining clean - a pleasing and rather well preserved visual example of both the map and guide book.
Book measures c. 6" H x 5" W.
Map sheet measures c.5 1/2 " W x c. 107". (Approx. 9 feet long!)
Map dated 1894 and likely printed then, despite the 1902 title page imprint.
