The International Studio: An Illustrated Magazine of Fine and Applied Art. Volume 17.
Published 1902, New York by Offices of the International Studio.
314 [318] pages. Text in English. Profusely illustrated throughout, including numerous full page plates, many plates in color.

Outstanding content, including a lovely well illustrated biographical article on the great art nouveau illustrator Jessie King, color plates by Cassier, numerous images relating to Charles R. Mackintosh and Scottish design, Tony Grubhofer, jewelry, lighting, interior decoration and design, art exhibits, home goods, medals, on an on. Each year of this periodical is desirable and many are scarce complete today.

Period 1/2 leather binding, smooth spine, gilt title lettering, deckled edges.

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time, slightly "cocked" (askew) when sitting on a shelf upright (could be remedied by pressing book under weight to correct). Book is not new or in "new" condition.

Binding age worn, spine leather rubbed and scuff abraded but still supple, joints slightly scuffed, remains overall attractive as an object.

Text block paper is gently toned, internally still well preserved, clean, tight, sound, tissue guards present throughout as issued to plates.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.

Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this antique book survives.

Book Measures c. 12" H x 8 3/4" W.
