Scarce 18th century copper engraved coastal map. Some offsetting as typical for folding periodical maps of this era, still displays well and remains overall clean.
Charming level of detail includes many specific buildings, terrain features, shoals, sounding depths, etc.
Map is still bound within the original 1782 periodical it was issued within. The periodical also includes assorted mentions of America as well as many letters and accounts of discussions within the House of Lords & Parliament, etc. Periodical is disbound, uniformly toned.
Map measures 12" H x 11" W, sheet c. 15" H x 12 1/2" W.
