Fine early 18th century engraved map with lovely hand color. Title hangin in banner at top left with a fencing duel taking place below. Two cherubs astride a city shield top right. The outlines of the early city plan nicely colored for visual effect showing the fortified walls and canal cutting through the city.
Paper and image remains clean and well preserved with a fine patina and visual appeal.
Maps which depicting this theme would be time consuming and likely difficult to collect given their rarity, but would almost certainly form a unique collection.
